I have always remained true to my very humble Berber beginnings and family values passed on from several generations. As a young boy from south western Morocco, I was always excited to see tourists passing through my small village. I hoped and wanted to find a way to share something with the tourists about the Berber culture and lifestyle. However, the language barrier was always a challenge. So I made it my personal goal and mastered learning several languages along with becoming a certified professional tour guide, with a background in Moroccan history and culture. After several years of touring guests throughout Morocco, it only made sense that Amallay Travel would be created. I believe each trip should be as unique as each guest and pride myself on the ability to provide life-changing experiences that create moments you will remember long after the tour is over.
A native Californian living life between London and Marrakech, I have been fortunate to have lived abroad in several countries for many years and traveled in-between to places near and far. Having always been a curious traveler, I’ve always wanted more than to just see a place, but to actually feel a place, its people and its culture. And one trip to Morocco with close friends gave me just that and left me with an intense curiosity to keep coming back for more. Since that very day, and every visit thereafter, Morocco has inspired me with its creative energy and craftsmanship, beautiful design and architecture and the warmth of its welcoming people.
